Our presenter today (6/10/20), Justine had great experience to share with us all. She made the practical fun & exciting... with enthusiastic scenarios that we had to carry out during CPR. She was clear & easy to understand. I would have liked a hard copy of the manual to help consolidate the information & recommend AustWide look into that. The location was great with large class rooms. Social distancing measures were in place, however it still worked well. I feel more confident to use both First Aid & CPR at work & home. Thank You Justine ♥️read more

Australia Wide First Aid provides short courses designed for individuals and groups to gain nationally accredited certification. These courses include:

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as taught in our first aid course: Provide CPR

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Learn the proper application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Provide CPR is trained and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Your technique will be fine-tuned in face-to-face training that follows streamlined e-Learning you can complete at your convenience.

You'll learn the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, to manage and assess an emergency situation, and how to use an automatic external defibrillator (AED).

The First Aider's legal responsibilities will be discussed. You'll also learn the all-important DRSABCD first aid strategy.

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 2.5 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 2 hours in a classroom environment.

Your nationally recognised CPR certification — emailed to you the same day as course completion – officially recognises your ability to respond effectively to cardiac and breathing-related emergencies.

Don’t hesitate to enrol in this course and find out how good it feels to have the skills to save lives.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

By far our most popular course, Provide First Aid is a requirement for workplace first aid compliance.

Previously known as Apply First Aid and Senior First Aid, this course includes 4 jam-packed hours of face-to-face training, preceded by highly informative e-Learning that has been streamlined for accelerated certification.

This course covers the skills and knowledge involved in providing a first aid response as well as how to provide life support.

You'll learn first aid management of casualty(ies), the incident and other first aiders, until qualified emergency help arrives to take over.

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 6 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 4 hours in a classroom environment.

Your certificate — HLTAID011 Provide First Aid PDF Statement of Attainment – will be emailed to you the same day you complete your course.

Current industry standards recommend renewing this certification every 3 years with the CPR component due for renewal every 12 months.

All it takes is a day or two training and assessment and the foresight to enrol in a first aid course. Australia Wide First Aid has trained well over a million Australians and is yet to come across anyone who has not found the training empowering.

Your employers and your work colleagues will hold you in high regard with much-needed skills. In fact, a first aid certificate will also boost your employment prospects.

In many lines of work, accredited first aid certification is a prerequisite. Certification with Australia Wide First Aid is also ideal for your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

What you learn in an accredited first aid training course will also enable you to keep a cool head if you are injured or stricken by illness yourself. And you will be a capable guardian for family and friends.
