It covers first aid treatment for asthma, anaphylaxis, bites and stings, injuries, bleeding control, burns, electric shock, dislocations and fractures, overdose, poisoning and more. Learn how to provide CPR, use an AED, and implement an action plan to manage an incident until qualified help arrives. Streamlined for accelerated certification, Provide First Aid training begins with a highly informative online first aid course. For this e-Learning, you should allow up to 6 hours, depending on learning ability and prior knowledge. Hands-on training and assessment follows. This takes 4 hours in a classroom environment.
Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HLTAID009)
Provide CPR focuses on the proper application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using the DRSABCD first aid strategy to assess and manage emergency situations. It also includes how to use an automatic defibrillator (AED) and builds confidence to be ready to provide CPR in a real-life situation. Learn to respond effectively to cardiac and breathing-related emergencies by the proper application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and adopting the all-important DRSABCD first aid strategy. Gain the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, manage and assess an emergency situation, and use an AED. The legal responsibilities of a First Aider will also be discussed.
