01 – What You Can Do

Under the CC BY-ND 4.0 licence you are free to copy and redistribute our content in any medium or format, including printing it, posting it online, including it in a newsletter, or sharing it on social media. In all cases, you must attribute Australia Wide First Aid and link back to the original page.

The permission applies to commercial and non-commercial use alike, for any purpose.

Examples of correct use:

  • Publish an article or fact sheet on your website
  • Print and hand out our guides at a community event
  • Embed or link to our content from your organisation’s intranet
  • Share our posts through social media or email campaigns

01 – What You Cannot Do

The ND (NoDerivatives) part of our licence means you must reproduce our content exactly as it appears. You may not remix, transform, translate, edit, or build upon our material and then share that modified version.

Why? First aid information can be safety-critical. We need to ensure that any version of our content people encounter is accurate and up to date. If you’d like to adapt content for a specific audience, please contact us, we’d love to work with you.

03 – How to Attribute Us

Link to the page, not just the resource. Wherever you republish our content, you must include a clear attribution that links back to the original page on our website (not directly to an image, PDF, or file download). This helps your readers find the most current version of the content and lets them explore related resources.

How To Use Our Content Example

For online use, the page URL should be a working hyperlink. For print, write the full URL so readers can look it up directly.

04 – Exceptions

Third-party material embedded in our pages, such as photographs licensed from stock libraries or content from other websites may not be covered by our CC BY-ND 4.0 licence. Check individual image credits where provided.

We do not grant permission to share content on our website that is not ours.
