Our presenter today (6/10/20), Justine had great experience to share with us all. She made the practical fun & exciting... with enthusiastic scenarios that we had to carry out during CPR. She was clear & easy to understand. I would have liked a hard copy of the manual to help consolidate the information & recommend AustWide look into that. The location was great with large class rooms. Social distancing measures were in place, however it still worked well. I feel more confident to use both First Aid & CPR at work & home. Thank You Justine ♥️read more

practicing CPR in a course

Provide First Aid & Child Care First Aid compared

Our first aid courses share common competencies and meet the requirements of our regulator, as well as those of the peak industry bodies.

Each course teaches the essentials in terms of providing first aid and basic life support, and both include CPR.

The courses differ in duration and in the scope of situations they handle. In particular, HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (Child Care First Aid) has an additional focus on providing first aid for infants and children in emergency situations.

Child Care First Aid is popular with parents. It’s also the course for employees in Education and Care settings. As with the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate, training needs to be refreshed and qualifications renewed every 3 years.

Child Care First Aid is often taught in groups at the client’s own premises. Our public training centres are also available for group first aid courses. Choose from Belmont, Fremantle, Innaloo, Joondalup, Mandurah, Midland, Rockingham and Subiaco.

At Australia Wide First Aid, our goal is to make first aid skills more readily available throughout Australia to help keep people as safe as possible in their homes and workplaces.

Don’t hesitate to call our hotline or leave a message via our contact page.

Types of first aid

Different first aid courses target specific knowledge and skill sets that apply in different circumstances.

Our most popular course —  Provide First Aid — satisfies Australian workplace compliance. This course incorporates Provide basic emergency life support, as well as Provide CPR, which focuses on the life-saving techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

All our accredited first aid courses are fully compliant and teach you the techniques of first aid professionals.

Australia Wide First Aid courses

Australia Wide First Aid provides short courses designed for individuals and groups to gain nationally accredited certification. These courses include:

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as taught in our first aid course: Provide CPR

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Learn the proper application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Provide CPR is trained and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Your technique will be fine-tuned in face-to-face training that follows streamlined e-Learning you can complete at your convenience.

You'll learn the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, to manage and assess an emergency situation, and how to use an automatic external defibrillator (AED).

The First Aider's legal responsibilities will be discussed. You'll also learn the all-important DRSABCD first aid strategy.

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 2.5 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 2 hours in a classroom environment.

Your nationally recognised CPR certification — emailed to you the same day as course completion – officially recognises your ability to respond effectively to cardiac and breathing-related emergencies.

Don’t hesitate to enrol in this course and find out how good it feels to have the skills to save lives.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

This course covers the skills and knowledge involved in providing a first aid response as well as how to provide life support.

You'll learn first aid management of casualty(ies), the incident and other first aiders, until qualified emergency help arrives to take over.

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 6 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 4 hours in a classroom environment.

Your certificate — HLTAID011 Provide First Aid PDF Statement of Attainment – will be emailed to you the same day you complete your course.
