First Aid Courses in Toowoomba
No one likes to imagine being at the centre of an emergency, but the truth is this: injuries and medical crises do strike anytime and anywhere – even in the beautiful and relaxed garden city of Toowoomba. The best way to prepare yourself for the possibility of facing such situations is to enrol in a first aid training course. Australia Wide First Aid, a nationally recognised training organisation (RTO 31961) with 20 training training locations open to the public across the country, makes this easy for everyone.
The gorgeous garden city of Toowoomba is home to many heritage-listed sites, parks and gardens, academic institutions, and a population of over 135,000. Toowoomba hosts the annual Carnival of Flowers every September, which attracts visitors from all over the country. In addition, the city has also earned the attention of sports enthusiasts, particularly those who are interested in mountain biking and motocross. Toowoomba is located 125 kilometres west of Brisbane and is easily accessed by public bus and train services.
Our training venue in South Toowoomba is surrounded by the following suburbs: Newtown, Toowoomba City, East Toowoomba, Harristown, Rangeville, Kearneys Spring, and Centenary Heights.
Free parking is available on site, but the venue is also accessible via public transport, as it’s only a 3-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. While outside food is not allowed in the venue, there’s a hot carvery and a coffee shop nearby where students can have lunch.
Benefits of Learning First Aid
Learning first aid is a worthwhile endeavour that will benefit not only you but also the people around you. It allows you to help family, friends, and workmates who require immediate medical assistance after getting sick or incurring an injury. With you around, they can feel more confident that someone is capable of giving them a helping hand when they need it. Possessing a Statement of Attainment can also make you a more likely candidate for certain jobs and positions, as it highlights your capacity for making sound decisions and keeping a calm demeanour even in times of emergency.
How Do You Enrol in a First Aid Course?
You can sign up for a class, or we can also send out trainers and assessors to your office or home for on-site training. Simply sign up online, pay the fee in full, and provide a valid USI. Each course has at least 2 components: an online assessment and face-to-face training. The online assessment needs to be completed the night before the face-to-face training. Students can expect to receive a PDF of their Statements of Attainment within 48 hours of completing all the requirements of the course and passing their assessment.
