Australia Wide First Aid courses are ideal if you want your first aid certificate quickly and cheaply.

We began delivering first aid courses in 1996 and have been fine-tuning our training methods ever since. Our system has helped well over a million Australians get their accredited first aid certificates.

The first step in your training will be an online first aid course — a multiple-choice and True or False quiz. You can do this at your convenience, logging off and logging back in as time permits.

With your First Aid eBook (free download) open next to you, find the correct answers won’t be too much of a challenge. You also get as many attempts as you need to arrive at the correct answers.

Submit your finished e-Learning by midnight the day before your first aid training and assessment. This is a brief in-person session — first aid is hands-on after all.

This practical session, like the online first aid course, is designed to fast-track your certification.

Our first aid trainers are the best in the business. You’ll enjoy this session and your trainer will have you up to speed in no time.

Once your assessment is completed successfully, your certificate will be emailed to you the same day.

About our first aid course certification

First aid refers to a set of first responses to a range of medical emergencies.

In Australia, these responses are catalogued by the National Register of Vocational and Education Training as units of competency. Qualification is by way of Statements of Attainment in these competencies.

At Australia Wide First Aid, we provide courses to cover these units of competency.

Our most popular course — Provide First Aid — bundles together 3 valuable units of competency: HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support, and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation focuses on the life-saving technique of CPR.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting is the course for people who work in the education and childcare sectors.

With its focus on first aid for children and infants (but also including first aid for adults), this course is also popular with Sunshine Coast parents.

Australia Wide First Aid courses

Australia Wide First Aid provides short courses designed for individuals and groups to gain nationally accredited certification. These courses include:

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as taught in our first aid course: Provide CPR

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Learn the proper application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Provide CPR is trained and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Your technique will be fine-tuned in face-to-face training that follows streamlined e-Learning you can complete at your convenience.

You'll learn the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, to manage and assess an emergency situation, and how to use an automatic external defibrillator (AED).

The First Aider's legal responsibilities will be discussed. You'll also learn the all-important DRSABCD first aid strategy.

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 2.5 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 2 hours in a classroom environment.

Your nationally recognised CPR certification — emailed to you the same day as course completion – officially recognises your ability to respond effectively to cardiac and breathing-related emergencies.

Don’t hesitate to enrol in this course and find out how good it feels to have the skills to save lives.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

By far our most popular course, Provide First Aid is a requirement for workplace first aid compliance.

Previously known as Apply First Aid and Senior First Aid, this course includes 4 jam-packed hours of face-to-face training, preceded by highly informative e-Learning that has been streamlined for accelerated certification.

This course covers the skills and knowledge involved in providing a first aid response as well as how to provide life support.

You'll learn first aid management of casualty(ies), the incident and other first aiders, until qualified emergency help arrives to take over.

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 6 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 4 hours in a classroom environment.

Your certificate — HLTAID011 Provide First Aid PDF Statement of Attainment – will be emailed to you the same day you complete your course.

Current industry standards recommend renewing this certification every 3 years with the CPR component due for renewal every 12 months.

The course covers the knowledge and skills required to respond to first aid emergencies, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

The training is in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training requirements defined by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

Depending on your learning ability, you should allow up to 6 hours for reading and e-Learning. You’ll gain further valuable information in 5 hours of streamlined face-to-face training and assessment in a classroom environment.

Students are unanimous in saying this fascinating session is empowering and a highly enjoyable way to gain certification in Child Care First Aid.

Current industry standards recommend renewing this certification every 3 years, with the CPR component due for renewal every 12 months.

Why learn first aid?

The value of first aid is obvious if you imagine how you’d feel if you were unable not help when someone close to you fell victim to a life-threatening accident, or collapsed from a stroke or a heart attack.

Being prepared and able to make a difference in such circumstances, is what first aid is all about. Knowing what to do in times of a medical emergency is absolutely invaluable.

Nobody regrets doing their first aid training. It has a positive effect on you, as well as on your family and your colleagues. It is reassuring for all.

A first aid certificate is a boost for your career. Demonstrating your willingness to take responsibility is evident to prospective employers and can only improve your career advancement.

First aid certification also contributes points to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Sunshine Coast community

The Great Outdoors could hardly be more enticing than on the Sunshine Coast.

The Sunny Coast has something for everyone — from the golden beaches to the rustic beauty of the hinterland, to the boutique shops and cafés at Noosa, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba.

But accidents do happen — anywhere, anytime.

All too frequently, people get into bother in the surf and in the pool. Not just visitors. Locals too.

There are stingers, in the water and out. People fall victim to heat stroke. They fall off bikes and skateboards and get into all sorts of scrapes.

Life-saving first aid is how you can help make the Sunshine Coast a safer place. And your first aid certificate is way to show your community spirit.
