First Aid Training in Mitchelton
Emergencies can happen at any time and place, and we need to have the right mindset, skills, knowledge, and tools to be able to respond to them properly. This is where first aid training comes in. However, many people have difficulties attending first aid classes or renewing their certifications due to lack of time or a convenient training location.
Australia Wide First Aid, a nationally recognised training organisation (RTO 31961), aims to make first aid courses more accessible for everyone. We do this by offering first aid training in 21 locations across the country. We have regular courses for those who are taking up a specific course for the first time, as well as streamlined courses for those who want to renew their certification. In addition, we can also come to your home or workplace to provide you with training that’s customised to your home or work environment.
The courses offered at Australia Wide First Aid are aligned with the standards set by the Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR), and our Provide First Aid course is endorsed by the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). By training with us, individuals can earn points for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and businesses can be assured of workplace compliance when it comes to first aid certification.
One of our training locations is in Mitchelton, a suburb located around 10 kilometres from the Brisbane central business district. An area with a long history and young population, Mitchelton is accessible by train, bus, car, or bike.
Mitchelton in Queensland is an accessible training venue for students based in Keperra, Everton Hills, Everton Park, Enoggera, or Gaythorne.
There is free parking at the hotel. Upon arriving, simply ask the reception area for directions to the training course. Students are encouraged to be at the venue 15 minutes before their class is scheduled to begin so they can complete the needed paperwork.
How Will You Benefit from Learning First Aid?
People who know first aid are an asset to their community and workplace, as they can be relied on to help in times of emergency. Their presence makes their colleagues and neighbours feel safer, helping them focus more on their tasks and daily activities. Having first aid certification can also be an advantage when applying for work. Some professions require applicants to have first aid knowledge. Also, first aid training in one’s resume can indicate that the applicant is capable of handling responsibility and keeping a cool head in face of emergencies.
How Do You Acquire First Aid Certification?
People as young as 14 years old can join first aid classes, all courses have an online assessment, which students must accomplish 11:59 PM the night before their scheduled face-to-face training. After passing the online and face-to-face training, securing the full payment for the course, and providing a valid USI, students will receive a digital copy of their Statements of Attainment. These certificates should be renewed periodically to stay current.
First Aid Courses
Australia Wide First Aid offers both regular and fast-tracked courses. These are:

This 8-hour course teaches students the minimum skills and knowledge for providing first aid. Among the topics included in the course are identifying and responding to emergency situations, applying first aid procedures, providing life support, and communicating details of the incident to emergency responders.
